Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts for Department of Health Research (DHR) funded Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU) at Jorhat Medical College & Hospital (JMCH), Jorhat, Assam.

1. Post Name: Research Scientist II

No. of Post: 01

Essential Qualification: Ph.D in virology/ microbiology/ molecular biology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life Science
                                               OR
MD/MVSC in virology/ Microbiology with three years experience.

Desirable: Minimum one year hands on    experience on RNA/ DNA isolation, real time PCR handling with viral specimen.

Age: Maximum 40 Years on the date of interview.

Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 58,900/-

2. Post Name: Research Scientist I
No. of Post: 01
Essential Qualification: M.Sc/MVSC in Biochemistry/ molecular biology/ Microbiology/ M.Sc Biotechnology/ Life Science.
Desirable: Ph.D Degree
                   : Hands on experience on RNA/ DNA isolation, real time PCR and ELISA Technique.
Age: Maximum 37 Years on the date of interview.
Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 48,469/-

3. Post Name: Laboratory Technician
No. of Post: 02
Essential Qualification: 12th Pass in Science Stream from recognized Board with DMLT.
→Minimum 2 Years Hands on experience in Central Govt. projects  in a Government or Govt. recognized Institute.
Desirable: Hands on experience on molecular and ELISA, HPLC Technique .
Age: Maximum 37 Years on the date of interview.
Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 18,360/-

4. Post Name: Data Entry Operator (Grade 'A’)
No. of Post: 01
Essential Qualification: 12th Pass from recognized board.
→A speed test not less than 250 keys depressions per minute through speed test on computer.
Desirable: Diploma in Computer Application from Govt. registered/ recognized Institute.
→Experience in electronic data processing.
Age: Maximum 37 Years on the date of interview.
Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 16,179/-

Terms and Conditions:

1. The posts are purely temporary and will be terminated without any prior information if his/her performance is not satisfactory and duties under these posts will be ceased after the tenure after the project.
2. The selection committee will be decide regarding the mode of Interview depending on present situation as well as the number of applicants which shall be notified later in the given website: www.jorhatmedicalcollege.in .
3. All the original documents along with 2 (Two) copies of recent passport size photos should be submitted at the time of interview or joining (which ever applicable, as per notification).
4. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
